UNeECC Secretariat in the Pannon Community Hub
The Secretariat of the international organisation UNeECC - University Network of the European Capitals of Culture - will be hosted by the University of Pannonia, including the Pannon KözTÉR, from spring 2021. The Secretary of the organisation is Dr. Edit Kővári, Associate Professor, European Capital of Culture Officer at the University of Pannonia. Dr. András Gelencsér, Rector of the University of Pannonia, is a full member of the UNeECC Board.
The organisation is a network of 50 universities and colleges in former, current or future European Capitals of Culture. The Secretariat is located in the Pannon Community Hub office. Dr. Edit Kővári is assisted by Éva Kruppa-Jakab, managing expert. The University of Pannonia staff has redesigned and restructured the organisation's official website, which can be found at www.uneecc.org.
The mission of the UNeECC is to ensure recognition of the contribution of universities to the success of cities that have been awarded the title of European Capital of Culture, to ensure the continued and full participation of member universities in the European Capitals of Culture movement, and to promote cooperation between universities to develop and transform the regional position of universities, thereby creating new activities for cities and universities.
